Hi all!
Welcome to a new challenge at Divas by Design. Our theme for this week is Anything with a Magnolia image. Our sponsor for this challenge is Magnolialicious. Just click on the banner below to go to the shop.
This is what I created for this challenge
Yes, that's right, I decided to go for a Christmas card! Every year I am thinking: "better start early with my christmascards this year" and every November I think: "Crap! Too late again!" Well, that ain't gonna happen this year, as with this card, I am halfway of the total amount of christmas cards I want to make! Hooray for me!
Anyway, the image I used is by Magnolia, and perfect for your christmas cards! I used my Copic Markers again, and now I look at the reds, I should have refilled my R22 marker. Too late, better order some refills now!
Skin: E0-00, E00, E11, E13, R20
Hair: E51, E53, E55
Tree: G40, G43, G46
Outfit: R22, R24, R27
Shoes and white areas: W00, W0, W2, W5
The papers I used are by Echo Park. The sentiment is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on some kraft card stock. The sentiment is from Noor!Design.
This was it for today, I hope you all like it. Please pop over to Divas by Design and join us!

Digi Galore - Tags
Hi all!
How are you all doing? I am doing great, a little busy, but fully enjoying my little bundle of joy! Our little girls, Tessa, is now 5,5 months old and she is doing so good! I will post some pics of her in a few days.
Anyway, there is a new challenge going on at Digi Galore! Our theme for this challenge is TAG, so we want to see your tags! Our sponsor for this challenge is FunkyHand, who are offering a $10 gift certificate to thr winner! Isn't that generous? Just click on the banner below to go to the shop.
FunkyHand also offered some images to the DT to work with, and this is what I created.
I made a tag to go with a baby gift. The papers I used are by My Minds Eye, but they are not particularly for baby cards.
The image I used is from FunkyHandm, and is called Button Baby Girl. She can be found here. I used my Copic Markers again to color the image, but now I look at the pictures the pink shows up really weird. In real it looks nicely blended, but I think it has something to do with the light while I was taking pics. I have used the following markers.
Baby: E000, E00, E11, E13 and R20 for blush.
Stroller: RV10, RV13, RV14
Wheels: E57, E59
The little onesies are cut with a Memory Box die, and the sentiment is handwritten with a white gelly roll pen.
To finish my tag I used some ribbon, lace and twine from my stash.
This was it for today, I hope you all like it. Please pop over to Digi Galore and join us!

Southern Girls Challenge - Shimmer
Hi all!
Time for a brand new challenge at Southern Girls! This week we want to see shimmer!
Our sponsors this week are Lacy Sunshine and Marianne Design.
Due to personal issues I didn't use sponsor's image, but I did something quite unusual. I didn't use any image at all!
Here is my project.
I made a little gift envelope with a template from Dutch Doobadoo. The chicken wire in the background is made with a die from MFT.
The musicnotes are cut with a die from Noor!Design, and some of the musicnotes are covered with glitter.
The sentiment I used is a sticker from Kimya, and says Happy Birthday in Dutch.
This was it for today, I hope you all like it. Please pop over to Southern Girls and join us!

Skin: E000, E00, E11, E21 and R20 for blush.
Hair: ????

ROBYN'S FETISH CHALLENGE # 212 - SHAPED CARDS
Hi all!
It's Sunday again, time for a new challenge at Robyn's Fetish! This weeks theme is SHAPED CARDS - NO SQUARES OR RECTANGLES.
We are sponsored by Dragonsmoore, Spyder’s Other Corner, and they are offering 5 digital images of the winners choice. Isn't that great? Just click on the banner below to go to the shop.
Dragonsmoore, Spyder’s Other Corner also generously provided some images to the DT to work with, and this is what I created.
For the shape of my card, I used a template from Dutch Doobadoo, which was in a goodiebag I got at a hobby event. I absolutely love these templates and I have several different ones!
The image I used is generously sponsored by Dragonsmoore, Spyder’s Other Corner, and is called Not Mushroom for a Mouse House Digital Stamp #3877. The image can be found here. I used my Copic Markers to color the image, and I used the following.
Mushroom: R32, R35, R37, C00, C0, C1, E57, E59
Mouse: C3, C5
Bushes: YG23, YG25
Flowers: R35, R37, Y35, Y38
Ground: E23, E25, E27
The patterned paper I used is a scrap from my stash, and I have no idea which brand. The ribbon and lace are both from my stash.
That was it for today, I hope you all like it. Please pop over to Robyn's Fetish and join us with your shaped cards!

Tutorial - Herringbone technique
Hi all!
It's Sandra here, with a new tutorial for you. Today I am going to show you how to make your own background paper using the Herringbone Technique.
Supplies:
5 different but matching designer papers (I used PB&J by Basic Grey)
Papertrimmer
Piece of printer paper in the size of your card front.
Strong doublesided adhesive
Scissors
Image by Robyn's Fetish Katie Jumping Rope
Coloring medium of your choice (I used Copic Markers)
Take your printer paper that is the size of your card front and fully cover it with double sided adhesive. It's very important to cover it completely with adhesive, especially on the edges of the paper
Trim off the parts of tape that are hanging off the edges.
Take your patterned paper and cut it up in small strips. My strips are 1cm wide, which is approximately 3/8 of an inch. You will need about 5 strips of each pattern.
As you can see I cut way too much strips, but I was planning on making another card with the same papers.
Take off the backings of your adhesive.
Adhere the first strip of paper on a random angle on your card.
Put your second strip on the paper, forming a T. Make sure that you have a straight angle.
Place another strip and start filling the section. Make sure you alternate the sides where you start.
Trim off the excess and save the strips. They can be used in the next section.
This is how it looks at this moment.
Take a new strip of patterned paper and make a new T.
Start filling in the upper section of the T.
When finished with the upper section, you can fill in the other sections.
By cutting the end straight, you can use the pieces that are cut off from an earlier part again.
Here you can see there is only a small area left. It's too big to leave it blank, so you need to fill this.
Take a strip of patterened paper and adhere it to the tiny area. This is the reason why it's so important to have adhesive on the whole card front.
This is your finished card front.
Color your image like you want. The colors I used are also in my patterned papers, so they match my card.
Copic Markers used:
Skin: E000, E00, E11, E13 and R20 for blush
Hair: E51, E53, E55
Dress: YG93, YG95 and YG97
Socks: W00, W0, W2, W5
Shoes: R24, R27
This is my finished card.
This was my tutorial. I hope you will try it. It is a really fun technique and also a great way to use up your scraps of patterned paper.
