Love to Create Challenge - Lacy or Ribbon, Pearl or Jems and your favorite Valentine colors

Hi all!!

Hope you are doing well! Time for a new challenge at Love to Create, but very sad to announce that this will be the final Love to Create challenge. Jackie decided to close the challenge blog, and I do understand her choice. I really want to thank Jackie for being a great DT-leader and challenge blog owner, and I also want to thank everyone else on the team for being such a warm and friendly group!

On to the details of our final challenge! Our theme is Lace or Ribbon, Pearls or Gems AND your favorite Valentine colors! Our sponsor for this challenge is Oddball Art. Just click on the banner below to visit their shop.

Oddball Arty also generously provided some images to the DT to work with, and this is what I created.

The papers I used are by My Minds Eye, and they contain both Red and Pink. Those are my alltime favorite colors, so they are also my favorite Valentine colors.

The image I used is called Kawaii Valentine Giraffe, and can be found here. I used my Copic Markers to color the image, and I used the following.
Skin: R81, R83, R85
Hearts: R89
Nose and hoofs: W2, W3
The sentiment is part of my papers, and it just happened to be in the right place to use it as a sentiment, nothing on purpose. I was just looking where to put a sentiment and found this the perfect one! I used some ribbon and lace from my stash.

This was it for today, I hope you all will join us on Love to Create's final challenge!!

Love to Create - Color Challenge

Hi all!!

Sami Stamps

And now on to the challenge, here is our color inspiration picture!

And here is what I made for you all!

I made a little gift box with my Envelope Punch Board. It was the first time I ever used the board, but it was so easy! The only drawback for me is that the scoreline is on the right, and that is not easy being a lefty... But it worked!
The image I used is called Butterfly Kisses. The image can be found here. I used my Copic Markers again to color the image, and I used the following
Cat: E23, E25, E27
Butterfly: R22, R24
Feathers: R56, R59
And here is the back of the box. The papers I used to decorate it are by Authentique, and they match perfect to our color challenge.
I used some velcro to close the box. I am going to fill this box with liquorice, and give it to a sweet friend of mine who is going to Malta for 6 months.

This was it for today, I hope you like it! Please pop over to Love to Create and join us!

I kept my card pretty simple, because the paper I used is pretty full. The papers I used are from a paperpad by Avec, and I love the purple tone in it. I used some sheer purple ribbon as an embellishment, and I punched some snowflakes with my Martha Stewart punch. I also added some purple rhinestones to the centers of the snowflakes and to the corners of the image and the card.
The image I used is called Princess of Snowflake, and she can be found here. I used my Copic Markers to color her up, and I used the following.
Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E21, E11, E13 and R20 for blush
Hair: E13, E08, E09, E18

Love to Create - Make it for Christmas

Hi all!

Long time no see, I am sorry for that! I have been down with a sinus infection and a respiratory infection for about 1,5 week, but I am feeling much better now!
Time for a brand new challenge at Love to Create. I hope you all started making Christmas cards, because our theme is Make it for Christmas! If you haven't already started, this is the perfect opportunity to start! Our sponsor for this challenge is Art by Mi Ran, and she is offering 3 images of the winner's choice! Just click on the banner below to visit the shop.
Artbymiran

Art by Mi Ran also generously provided some images to the DT to work with, and this is what I created.

Did you see I didn't use ANY designer paper, just cardstock? The green strip is embossed with an embossing folder from Cuttlebug, and the white borders on the purple cardstock are heat embossed. The stamp I used for it, is from a set from Noor!Design.

The image I used is called Winter Sofia and she can be found here, Of course I used my Copic Markers again to color the image, and I used the following.
Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11, E13 and R93 for blush
Hair: E11, E08, E09, E18
Hat and scarf: BV00, BV02, BV04
Eyes, mitten and sweater: YG00, YG03, YG06
Pearls: B01, B04
Snowflake: covered with glitter.
The sentiment I used is from the same Noor!Design set as the embossed borders. The sentiment is in Dutch and says Warm Christmas Greetings.

Love to Create - More than one fold

Hi all!

Time for a brand new challenge at Love to Create! Our theme this week is More than one fold, and I just love that! Our sponsor this week is Lee H Illustrations, offering 2 images of the winner's choice! Just click on the banner below to visit the shop.
Lee H Illustrations

Lee H illustrations also generously provided some images to the DT to work with, and this is what I created.

I had to follow the theme More than One fold, so I decided to make a paper rosette which has lots and lots of folds. Then I decided to use it to hold up my easel card, which also has more than one fold, so I completely nailed this weeks theme! :P
The papers I used are by Carte Bella.
The image I used is called Building a Snowman, and can be found here. I used my Copic Markers again to color, and I used the following.
Skin: E00, E11, E13
Hair: E23, E25, E27
Snowman: BG000, BG0000
Hat: C5, C7
Clothes: G40, G43, G46, R32, R35, R37, BG72, BG75, BG78
I used Frosted Lace Stickles on the snow, and also on the fur at the kids' clothes.
I used my labelwriter to create the sentiment.
And last but not least, a close up of the folded rosette. I took a strip of paper from 1 inch by 12 inch, and scored every 1/4 inch. I folded the strip mountain/valley style, and used a hot glue gun in the center. There you go, your own paper rosette! To finish off my card, I used my Martha Stewart Snowflake punch.

This was it for today, I hope you all like it. Please pop over to Love to Create and join us!
