Art by Mi Ran - Ice Skater Macy

Hi all!!

Welcome again to my blog, and welcome to all new followers!! Today is my turn to host the Art by Mi Ran Showcase blog, and here is the project I made for it.

I am still in the Christmas/Holiday mood, eventhough I already finished my Christmas cards for this year in september already.
The papers I used are by Echo Park, and I have used it so many times, there are only scraps left, no full sheets. I am really liking this paperpad and I am thinking of buying another one.
The image I used is called Ice Skater Macy, and she will be released later today, so this is actually a sneek peek! Will try to pop back in later to add the link to the shop.
I used my Copic Markers again to color her, and I used the following.
Skin: E000, E00, E11, E13, and E93 for blush
Hair: BG10, BG11, BG13
Eyes, Coat and Skates: YG91, YG93, YG95, YG97
Pants: B32, B37, B39
Earmuffs, scarf and mittens: R22, R35, R46, R59
The sentiment I used is from a set from AmyR, stamped with Versafine Onyx black ink. The snowflakes were made with a punch from Martha Stewart, and I added some bling to the centers.

This was it for today, I hope you all like it!!

Copic Marker Benelux - Time to Celebrate

Hallo allemaal!

Hi all!

When I first started cardmaking, I only used 1 technique. All my cards had the same colors, embellishments and lay-out. A while ago I challenged myself to go outside my comfort zone, and I must admit, I quite like it! I can hear you thinking: What do you mean San? Well, for example, this whole card!

I made a double easel card, using American Crafts papers.

The image I used is a rubber stamp from Whimsy, designed by Art by Mi Ran. She is called Flo. Of course I used my Copic Markers again.

Huid/Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11, E13 en E93 voor de wangetjes/ for the cheeks
Haar/Hair: E40, E41, E43, E47
Ogen/Eyes: G43, G46
Jurk/Dress: R22, R24, R27
Boeket/Flowers: Y00, Y02, Y06, YR15, YR16, RV52, RV55, G43, G46

The clock shape is made with a template from Dutch Doobadoo, and the numbers are made with the same template and some of their structure paste. While the paste was still wet, I sprinkled some glitter on it. It is really sparkly, but that is hard to capture on photo.

The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps, and matched my "time-themed" card perfectly. I used the sentiment to hold up the easel, and the Wild Orchid crafts flowers are helping with that,

To finish off my card, I added some ribbon and lace, and added a clock charm

This was it for today, I hope I was able to inspire you.

The Stamping Chef - Anything goes

Hi all!!

Time for a new week long challenge at The Stamping Chef! This is your chance to win 3 images from The Stamping Chef shop, because our theme is ANYTHING GOES!
Here's what I created

I made a 13,5cm square card, using some Carte Bella papers. All edges are inked with Distress Ink Vintage Photo, and I really like the look of it.
The image I used for my card, is called Krissy Kringle. Of course she is from The Stamping Chef, and she can be found here. I used my Copic Markers again to color them, and I used the following.
Skin: E000, E00, E11, E13, and E93 for her cheeks
Hair: E53, E55, E57
Brown areas: E40, E41, E43
Red areas: R35, R46, R59
Green areas: YG93, YG95, YG97

The gifts are made with a die from Noor!Design, and after cutting and embossing I inked the gifts with the same Distress Ink while they were still in the die.
My wishlist is made with a stamp from Noor!Design. I stamped it with Stampin Up's Whisper White ink on kraft cardstock, and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.
The notebook border, and the vintage border under the red paper are also made with dies dies from Noor!Design.

This was it for today, I hope you all like it! Please pop over to The Stamping Chef and join us!

Long time no see, I am sorry for that! I have been down with a sinus infection and a respiratory infection for about 1,5 week, but I am feeling much better now!
Time for a brand new challenge at Love to Create. I hope you all started making Christmas cards, because our theme is Make it for Christmas! Artbymiran

Art by Mi Ran also generously provided some images to the DT to work with, and this is what I created.

Did you see I didn't use ANY designer paper, just cardstock? The green strip is embossed with an embossing folder from Cuttlebug, and the white borders on the purple cardstock are heat embossed. The stamp I used for it, is from a set from Noor!Design.

The image I used is called Winter Sofia and she can be found here, Of course I used my Copic Markers again to color the image, and I used the following.
Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11, E13 and R93 for blush
Hair: E11, E08, E09, E18
Hat and scarf: BV00, BV02, BV04
Eyes, mitten and sweater: YG00, YG03, YG06
Pearls: B01, B04
Snowflake: covered with glitter.
The sentiment I used is from the same Noor!Design set as the embossed borders. The sentiment is in Dutch and says Warm Christmas Greetings.

Art by Mi Ran - Happy Holidays

Hi all!!

Today is my turn to host on the Art by Mi Ran Showcase blog, so let me show you the project I made.

I made a 13,5 cm (5,5inch) square card. The papers I used are by Bo Bunny, except for the brown paper with the stars. I made that myself with some brown cardstock, a star mask from Dutch Doobadoo, and their structure paste. I think this mask is perfect for Christmas!
For my card, I decided to use the recently released image. This lovely girl is called Elfie Elizabeth, and she can be found here. I used my Copic Markers again to color the image, and I used the following.
Skin: E000, E00, E11, E13, and E93 for blush.
Hair: E53, E55, E57
Clothes: R35, R46, R59
Shoes and gifts: YG93, YG95, YG97, E40, E41, E43
On the furry areas I used some Stickles to make it stand out a little more.
The brad with Happy Holidays is from the brad set from the Bo Bunny papers I used.
I made a little flower by using a white and a red flower, and two holly leaves. They are held together with a berry brad.

This was it for today, I hope you like it! Thanks for visiting my blog. Please leave a comment and become a follower, I appreciate it!

Whimsy Stamps DT-Call

Hi all!

I saw the Whimsy DT-Call post a while ago on Facebook, and I thought I'd give it a try!

Whimsy Stamps is a brand I love, every single designer they carry is gorgeous!!

For this card, I decided to use Summer Fairy from Wee Stamps by Sylvia Zet. I got this stamp free with a magazine a while back, so I decided to pull it out and use it. If you want to buy this image in rubber, you can find it here, and here for a digital version.
The papers I used for my card are by Bo Bunny, Primrose collection. All edges are inked with Distress Ink Walnut Stain.

I started stamping the image, pulling out my Memento. Pressed my inkpad on the stamp, and stamped the image, and I didn't see anything.... OOPS, I just used Angel Pink instead of Tuxedo Black... Never did No-Line technique before, so this is really my first try at it. I am not really happy with the result, but it's not bad for a first try I guess! I used my Copic Markers to color the image, and I used the following.
Skin: E000, E00, E11, E13 and E93 for the cheeks and lips.
Hair: E33, E35, E37, E49
Dress: YG60, YG63, YG67
Shoes: RV21, RV23, RV25, RV29
Wings: YG60, YG63, RV21, RV23
I used my Nestabilities Circle die to cut out the image, and matted it with a scalloped circle

I used some pink ribbon to tie a bow and added a jumbo pearly rhinestone from Wild Orchid Crafts. I also tucked 2 pieces of filmstrip underneath. I made them with the Noor Design Filmstrip die.

The sentiment I used is also from Whimsy stamps, it's from the Party Mini Letter Seals set, which you can find here.
All flowers I used are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

This was it for today, I hope you all like it!! Now please keep your fingers crossed for me :)

Hugs, Sandra

Art by Mi Ran - Merry Christmas

Hi all!!

Today is my turn to host the Art by Mi Ran blog, and I made a project with Lady Penelope! You can find the image here. The image is not specifically for Christmas, but since our theme this month is Christmas with untraditional colors, I decided to make her into a Christmas card.

The paper I used for my card is from PaperMania, except from the pink paper with the white dots. I made that piece myself, using some Dutch Doobadoo structure paste and one of their masks. The large pink diecut on top of my card is made with a die from Noor Design.
I used my Copic Markers to color Lady Penelope, and I used the following.
Skin: E000, E00, E11, E13 and E93 for blush.
Hair: E11, E08, E09, E18
Dress: R81, R83, R85, R89
Gloves, Eyes and trim: B91, B93, B95
The sentiment is also made with a die from Noor Design. I cut it once from pink card stock, and once from kraft cardstock, and layered them on top of eachother
To finish off my card I punched some snowflakes with my Martha Stewart punch, and added some bling in the centers!

I hope I was able to inspire you again. Thanks for your visit, and hope to see you next time!
