Disney at Red Carpet Studios

Hi all!

Wow, time flies, it's sunday again, so time for a new challenge at Red Carpet Studio! The 5th challenge is on, time can actually fly! Are you all happy with our challenges? I really am!
So this month has actually 5 weeks, and because of that, we have a challenge from both the layout and the card team.
This weeks theme is Disney's anything goes. Perfect for me, except, while I was crafting I just couldn't find my Disney Christmas stuff. This was the only paperpiecing sheet I could find, but in the end I am happy with the result.
I made a lantern with a template from Sandra's Scrapshop and you have to check her blog out, she makes amazing things!
The dessinpaper I used is from the Euroshop, they are all scraps and leftovers. the black cardstock I used is doublesides, that means the other side is glittery and shimmery green, perfect for a project like this!
I used my Nellie Snellen Poinsetta punch and branch punch and a prima flower with a brad to make this beautiful flower.

That's it for now, I hope you like it! So grab your Disney stuff and join us at Red Carpet Studio!

Zwanger!

Hi all!!

First, let me explain the title of this post!! It is a Dutch word, it means pregnant. No, not me!! My niece is pregnant from her second child and I sent her this card to congratulate her and her husband.
I used a very pregnant image right? She is called Icecream and pickles from Saturated Canary. Isn't she lovely?

She is colored woth my Copic markers again and I used the following:
Skin: E0000, E00, E11 amd R20 for blush.
Eyes: BG11.
Hair: E71, E77, E29 and E49
Clothes: YG15, YG 17 and YG38, W3, W5 and W7, E71 and E77
Icecream: E31, E33,Y00, Y02, YR02, RV29, YG91, YG95 and BG10 and BG11

I cut the image out with my cirlces Nestabilities, and inked the edges with Distress Ink Walnut Stain. I matted the image with a scalloped circle.
The sentiment I used is created with different alphabet stamps to make the word "Zwanger"
The dessinpaper I used is by My Minds Eye, Lost and Found 2.
I used a Martha Stewart border punch to make the border.
To finish my card I created a bouquet with lots of paper flowers, a lot of bling and made tiny little pearl dots with my pearl maker pen.

Hope you all like it, see you next time!

This card is entering the following challenges
The Paper Shelter - Anything goes
Love tot Create - Anything goes
Digi Galore - For a friend
Simon Says Stamp - Anything goes

Happy Birthday!

Hi all!

Today I want to show you an accordion card I made for my sister in law. She turned 26 last week, so I had to make her a present!
This is what I did!
I cut a piece of chipboard with my Nestabilities Labels 1 die to create this shape. You can find the tutorial I used here. It is from Splitcoaststampers, they have a lot of beautiful tutorials!
The text is Dutch, it says Happy Birthday.

As you can see it is a little book I made, and since it didn't fit in 1 picture, here's 2!
I used 2 beautiful Wee-stamps by Sylvia Zet, they were included in a magazine a couple of months ago. Aren''t they pretty?

Here they are in close-up. I used my Copics again to color them, and I used the following colors:
Skin: E0000, E00, E11 and R20
Hair: E71, E77 and E49
Clothes: BG05, BG07 and BG09, YG03, YG06
Flowers: Y17, RV02
Last but not least, here's the back of the accordion card.
My sister in law liked it, I hope you like it too!!

This project is entering the following challenges:

This hug is for you!

Hi all!

It is sunday again, and this day it is time for another card challenge at Red Carpet Studios!
Just as a reminder, our challenges alternate each week between a card and layout challenge. The first and third weeks of the month are layout challenges, and the second and fourth weeks of the month are card challenges.
This weeks theme is Sci-Fi, just think about dragons, unicorns, wizards etcetera!
This is what I created.
This weeks challenge is sponsored by Stamp n Doodle, the winner gets 2 digi's from her own choice! I would definately join, their digis are great!
I found an image of a dragon in my stash, I guess it was a gift from a friend, but I can't remember it!
This cutie is colored with my Copics, and I used only 4 of them!
Just used YG63 and YG67 for the greens and R37 and R59 for the reds!
The sentiment is by Nicole Verkooijen, and hey, who wouldn't want a hug from this dragon?

The paper I used is from Euroshop, just cheap, but pretty! The ribbon was also from my stash, same as the pearls. Only, they were white, so I used my G99 Copic to color them green!

Well, that was it for now, hop over to Red Carpet Studios and join us with your Sci-Fi card!!

Harvest at Digi Haven

Hi all!

Did you enjoy our new fortnight challenge at Digi Haven? Well I did, I enjoyed each and every entrance!! You all have done a great job, and great freebie findings! Because that is what Digi Haven is all about, FREEBIES!! Don't you just love them?
Well I do, and it is time for our new challenge, and this is what I came up with.
You can already guess the theme with my card, Harvest!
I used a cornucopia image by Elisabeth Dulemba, you can find it here.
Here is a close-up!
This time, I didn't use Copics to color, shocking huh? I used regular pencils to color, so no fancy blending ow whatsoever! Eventhough I had fun coloring all the little parts of it. It is printed on white DCP paper, and I used my Distress Ink Walnut Stain to make the paper brown. I love how it turned out.
The paper I used is from my stash, got it at the Euroshop, just cheap paper, but really pretty! The buttons are also from my stash, and in stead of sewing them to my card I just used glue dots.
The ribbon and the leafs are also from my stash, they were a gift from a friend.

Well that is is for now, go searching for some harvest freebies, or just choose the same I did, and create and join us at Digi Haven!

A balanced diet...

Hi all!

We are already midway on our Aud Sentiment Funny Sentiment challenge, so here is a reminder. Since I am in team B, my cards are always on the reminder post. That means you only have one week to join us!!
So, this times theme is Use a funny sentiment, and we are sponsored by the lovely Bugaboo stamps. They have tons of images with a funny sentiment, check them out!
I used Mildred on my card, she is so funny!
Here is my card!
I made a 13,5 cm square card, really love this size!
Of course I used my Copics again to color Mildred, here is a close up!
The chair was paperpieced with pattern paper from Prima Marketing, can't remember the name again from this collection, but it makes me feel a bit like everything in my granny's home! A bit brown and dark red, love it!
I used my W5 and W3 Copic marker on the paper pieced chair, to make it more in harmony with the rest of the image.
I used the following Copics to color Mildred:
Skin: E0000, E00, E11 and R20 for blush
Hair: C5, C7 and 100
Clothes: YG91 and YG95, C1 and C3
Shoes: E71, E77 and E29
Chocolate: E47 and E49
Like I said before, the pattern paper is by Prima Marketing, and I cut a circle and a scalloped circle with my Nestabilities. The sentiment is also cut with a Nestabilities die, Labels 4. Also used a Martha Stewart punch for the border. Rhinestones are from my stash.

So that is it for now, hop over to the Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog and join the funny sentiment challenge!!

Have a Purrr-fect birthday!!

Hi everyone!

First, this post is scheduled on sept. 9 so I hope everything goes well!!
Today is the first day for the card DT at Red Carpet Studios, and I am so excited to share this great card with you!! This weeks theme is to use a pun on your card.

I made a pop-up card with a tutorial I got at Elke Kaart een Feestje, and you can find it here. The tutorial is in Dutch, but Google Translate does really help!
My base is made of purple cardstock, and my dessinpaper is by Basic Grey, Little black dress. Makes the purple come out pretty good huh?
This image is by Saturated Canary, you have to visit her shop, her digi's are absolutely gorgeous!
She is colored with my Copic Markers and I used the following:
Skin: E50, E51, E53 and R20
Hair: E43, E47 and E49
Clothes: W1, W3, W5 and W7, V12, V15 and V17
Cat: E43, E47 and E49
I made this beautiful paper rosette myself, by cutting a 2 by 12 inch strip, and fold it at every 1/4 of an inch. Just glue the ends together and fiddle a bit, and there you go, a beautiful paper rosette!
The sentiment I used was on my computer, and I know it's a freebie, but I can't find it anywhere... :(
I cut the circle out with my Nestabilities, and made a purple scalloped circle to mat it.
Here's a side view of my card, and look, you still can send it in an envelope!!
Well, that's it for today, hope you join us at Red Carpet Studios!

This project is entering the following challenge:

Addicted to stamps - Bling Bling
Creative Inspirations Paint - Birthdays

Just for you.

***THIS IS MY SECOND POST FOR TODAY, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU SCROLL DOWN***

Hi everyone,

As you all can read in my previous post, Blogger is driving me nuts again, so a day later than scheduled, here is my post!
Yesterday, a new challenge started at Digi Haven. This fortnights theme is Fin and/or Feathers. You have to use any Free digital image that uses "Fins" or "Feathers" or if you're real good at finding free images, one that uses both "Fins and Feathers". The image(s) can be a forever freebie, limited time freebie or freebie of the month as long as it’s free for the duration of this tw week challenge. Please be sure to link back to the original artist or website on your blog.
Here is what I have made.
Yes, quite shocking huh? A tag, and not a card!! I used a scrap of cardstock to make this tag.
I used a forever freebie from Crafting Bella Lockwood, which you can find here. There are lots and lots of other freebies at her blog too!
I used my Copics again, and I am not sure if you can see, but I did 3d-paperpiece him!
I used the following Copics:
Y06 and Y08 for the beak and legs.
R46 and R59 for the heart and the crest.
BG13 and BG25 for his body.

The sentiment is a clearstamp by Wee Stamps by Silvia Zet. The dessinpaper I used is by Prima Marketing. On the blue piece I used a Martha Stewart border punch with gifts. The scallop is cut with my Slice.
Well, I guess that's it for today, see you at Digi Haven!

Hugs, Sandra

Melting over you

Hi all!

I am having trouble with Blogger again, it's driving me nuts!!!
This post was scheduled and supposed to go live last thursday, so with a bit of delay, I can announce there is running a challenge at Aud Sentiments! This forthnights challenge runs till next wednesday, so hurry up and join us! This fortnights challenge is to use a Christmas or holiday sentiment.
This is what I came up with!

We are sponsored by Robyns Fetish digital stamps, and you can find this lovely melting snowman here

Don;t you just love him? On the next pick you can look a bit closer!
He is colored with my Copic Markers again, I used the following.
Snowmen: C3, C1 and 0
Mittons: R35, R37 and R59
Hat: C5, C7 and 100
Scarf: YG63, YG67
I used only one piece of dessinpaper, which was sitting on my desk, and I have no idea where it's from. For the background I used my snowflake embossing folder and my cuttlebug on vellum. I really like how it turned out!
I also used a piece op red rope, which is by Ranger.
The sentiment is handwritten, since I didn't have a sentiment that fits this melting guy!
So that is it for now, my next scheduled post didn't show up either, so gonna fix that now!!

Oh crab, I forgot...

Hi all!

There are some changes going on at Digi Haven! This is the introduction of our new challenge schedule! Every month has a month long Anything Goes challenge, and a forthnight regular challenge.
So that means, today is the start of September Anything Goes Challenge, and this is my card.
I used another one of Elisabeth O Dulemba´s gorgeous digi´s, you can find this one here!
He is fun, and when I saw him, I thought this was the perfect sentiment!
I did something different with my coloring this time, here´s a close-up!
First I printed this digi, and cut it with my Nestabilities Labels 4 die. I left my diecut in the die, and grabbed my Distress ink pad.
I started with the sand, and used Antique Linen, Vintage Photo and Tea Dye.I just spunged it on my paper. Then I used Tumbled Glass for the water, and that was done!
Then I used some of my Copic Markers to color the rest of the image.
I used R02 and R05 for the crab, C1 and C3 for the rocks, and YG23 and YG06 for the seaweed.
The sentiment I made myself on the computer and cut it woth banner ends. Spunged it with a bit of Tea Dye Distress Ink and popped it up on foamtape.
The dessinpaper I used is by My Minds Eye, and I also used 3 brads from my stash.

Well, that is it for now, go search on the internet for free digi's, and remember, they have to be free during at least the whole month, or a forever freebie! Create a nice project with it and share it with us on the Digi Haven Blog!!
See you there!

This card is entering the following challenge:
Paper Crafting Journey - Anything goes
Perfect Sentiments Challenge - Anything goes with a sentiment
