Merry Christmas at Digi Haven!

Hi all!

Christmas is coming closer and closer, and I am still finishing my cards... Hurry, hurry hurry!! Well, you all can guess whst the new challenge theme is at Digi Haven right?
CHRISTMAS!! Lucky me!
We have a fab sponsor for this challenge, my DT sistah Mynette is offering one of her sentiments she made.
Here is my sample!
I made a 13,5cm (4inch) square card, and cut away the right half of my card front. Then I cut a diamond shape with my Nesties and printed the image on it. Here is a close up of my colored image.
The image is by Sliekje, and can be found here. This Christmas elf is colored with my Copic Markers again, and I used the following.
Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11 and R20
Hair and bag: E31, E33, E35 and E37
Outfit: R27 and R29 and G43 and G46
Bear: W00, W0 and W1
I used a lot of leftover strips from the Basic Grey Nordic Holiday collection. I also cut the diamond shape twice again, one to cover the bleeded colors on the back of my image, and to write a message on, and one for the sentiment. I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink to stamp the sentiment, and Memento London Fog for the swirls on the outside.
The card is closed with a ribbon, which is covered between my colored image and the paper to write your message on. Then you can tie it in a bow, and your card is closed!

It is a fun one, I hope you try it out!

That was it for now, I hope you all join us at Digi Haven! Just one note, to be elegible for the prize Mynette offers, you have to use a digi that is FREE at least during  the challenge, in this case 2 weeks!

See you soon!

May the season bring you warmth and joy!

Hi all!

It is playtime at Aud Sentiments, we are have a BINGO party!!
This fortnight we are sponsored by The Paper Shelter, they are offering a $20 gift voucher for the winner! How generous!
The Paper Shelter
Just click on the image to go to their shop, it is worth it!

To join this challenge, you only have to pick just one line or row from our bingo grid!

Here is my sample
As you can see I chose the bottom line from the grid, by using the word "joy" in my sentiment, red/blue ribbon on the left side of my card, and 2 die-cuts, made with my oval dies. The image I used is a sponsored one by the Paper Shelter, which you can find here.
I colored Candy Ski with my Copic Markers, and I used the following colors.
Skin: E00, E11 and R20 for blush
Browns: E57, E59
Reds: R27, R29
Coat: B97, B99
Mittens and pants: BG13, BG15
Tree: G43, G46
The snow isn't colored, only highlighted with Stickles, but it doesn't show well in the pictures.
The image is cut out with the largest oval die from my set and framed with a scalloped oval die.
The papers I used are from the Winter Park collection by Echo Park, perfect for images with snow! The ribbon and the twine is from my stash.
The sentiment is a clearstamp from the Euroshop. I stamped it with my Versamark Ink and embossed it with Seafoam White embossing powder.
The last little detail on my card are my little mittens, aren't they cute?

That was it for now, I hope you like my card! Hop over to Aud Sentiments to join us!
See you at the Bingo!!!

Robyn's Fetish #135 - Black, White and one color

***This is my second post for today, please make sure to scroll down to see the first!!!***

Hi all,

I am back again, but I promise, this is the last one for today!

Time for a new challenge over at Robyn's Fetish! Well, y'all see this weeks theme in my title, and yes, again black and white! What are the odds?!? The only thing different for Red Carpet Studio's challenge, is that you can add 1 extra color, but only one!!! This one was easier for me to make, just bwcause that one color!
This week we are sponsored by Floppy Latte Digital Designs, and they were that generous to offer some of their digi's to the DT. They are also hosting our prize this week!
This is what I created, using their stamp Flower Bonnet. You can find this gorgeous digi here! Isn't it gorgeous! The moment I saw this gorgeous digi, I thought CAMEO!!!!! And then, there was my problem... Cameo's are oval shaped, and I had no oval die! What to do now?
Well........ go to the store and buy me some!! Haha, easiest way to solve a problem! I was finally able to make my own cameo!
I made my own background paper for this card. I used a piece of white cardstock, and stamped some clocks on it with Versamark ink. I used clear embossingpowder and inked my cardstock with Distress Ink Dusty Concord. I used a babywipe to clean the clocks, and there it was. My own home-made backgroundpaper. I have never done this before, so I am quite happy this turned out the way i hoped.
All the edges of the white papers are inked with the same Dusty Concord ink. I also used some purple polka dot ribbon from my stash. The purple ribbon flowers are also from my stash, an white ones I cut out with a creatables die.

That was my Robyn's Fetish DT card for today, I hope you join us!

I would love to enter the following challenges:
Challenges for Everybody - Anything goes
That craft place - No squares allowed
Sweet Stampin' Challenge - Flowers
Cards Galore - Silhouette

Hugs, Sandra

Roses are red

Hi all,

Time for a new card challenge at Red Carpet Studio! I had a hard time on this theme... I am totally into bright colors, like pinks and yellows in example, but for this weeks challenge colors are forbidden! Make a card in black and white... Phew, and there I was, sitting in my craft roon, with hardly any inspiration... Hard to color a stamp when only black and white are allowed... And suddenly... a lightbulb! What an idea! I bought a butterfly stampset by Marianne Design on my birthday, and I have an embossingfolder with butterflies! And even a lovely sentiment in the butterfly stamp set!
Drums please.......

Quite lovely huh!! The butterflies and sentiment are stamped with Memento Tuxedo black ink. I used some shimmery white cardstock and some black and that was it!

These are some close-up pics. To finish my card I used a black marker to color some of the embossed butterflies, and that was it. I think I created quite an elegant card and in the end I am happy with the result.

This week we are sponsored by Eureka stamps, they are offering 5 digi-stamps of your choice if you win! Who doesn't want that!
That was it for now, hop over to Red Carpet Studio and join us!

I would like to enter the following challenges:
Challenges for everybody - Anything goes
Pile it on - Anything but Christmas
The ABC Challenge - Butterflies
Hotshot Craft - Butterfly

Robyn's Fetish #134 - Vintage

Hi all!

I am really enjoying my time as a DT for Robyn's Fetish, all the girls are so lovely! Today is the start of our new challenge, Make it Vintage. Personally, vintage is not really my style. I am more a bright color type, so I had a hard time on this one. Luckily our sponsor A day for daisies, generously offered a lovely digi to us, so that made it a bit easier for me!
This is what I created!
Actually, when I look at it, I am quite happy with the result! The digi I used is called vintage camera C, and you can find it here.
Here is a close-up of my colored image. I used my fellow Copics again to color this lovely camera, and I used the following colors:
E71, E77 and E79 and C1, C3, C5 and C7
The paper I used is from the Euro-shop, and the ribbon is from my stash.
The beautiful frame behind the image is a die from Joy!Crafts, and I inked the embossed parts with Distress Ink Vintage Photo. And yes, again, I couldn't resist using some flowers on my card, they are by Wild Orchid Crafts.

That was it for today, make sure to hop over to Robyn's Fetish Challenge blog and join us with your Vintage card!

Happy crafting!

Hi all,

It is sunday again, that means the start of a new challenge at Robyn's Fetish! This weeks theme is easy, ANYTHING GOES!! Robyn's Fetish is also the sponsor of this challenge, judt click on the name and take a look in the shop!
Since I need some more christmas cards, I chose to make one for this challenge, this is what I did.
I used an image by Robyn's Fetish, called Christmas Cottage, you can find it here! This card is a shaker card, to create the effect of a snowglobe. Really like how it turned out!
Here is a close-up of the colored image, which is colored with my Copic Markers again.
Used Copics:
House: C3, C5, C7, E487, E49, R56, R59
Snow: BG0000, BG000, BG10
I used some fine white glitter to make the snow, but now I realize I could also have used flowersoft... Always think of those things when I am finished! I don't know about you all, but for me stuff has to be on my desk, or I don't use it. That is why my desk is a mess I guess!!
Anyway, I also used a christmas tree I made with a creatables die!
I inked the embossed parts with Memento Rhubarb Stalk ink, and the egdes are inked with Distress Ink Tumbled Glass.
The papers I used are by Echo Park, Winterpark collection, and the edges are also inked with Distress Ink.

To finish everything off, I cut some snowflakes with a CuttleBug die, and added some sparkle to it using silver glitter glue.

That was it for today, I hope you enjoyed it! Remember, Anything goes, so hop over to Robyn's Fetish to join us!

Top Man - Robyn's Fetish Challenge #132

Hi all!

Due to hurricane Sandy in USA we are a day later than usual, but it is time for a new challenge at Robyn's Fetish! This weeks challenge is cards for a man, and we are sponsored by The Crafty Pad, they are offering 3 digis of the winners choice, or 1 set and 1 single digi, isn't that great?
This is what I created:
I also used an image by The Crafty Pad, this one is called Albert Diggin'. You can find him here.
I don't often make male cards, so I had a hard time on this one. Most of you know, I add flowers to my cards most of the time, but it wasn't appropiate here...
Here is a close-up of the colored image
I used the following Copic Markers to color Albert
Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11 and R20 for blush
Hair: E15, E18
Clothes: YR04, YR07 and YR09, BG01 and BG05
Shovel: E15 and E18, C5 and C7
Ground: E15 and E18 and YG63 and YG67.
Shading: W00, W0 and W1
The sentiment is also by The Crafty Pad, and can be found here. I used my BG01 marker to color the letters.
The backgroundpapers are by My Minds Eye, not a real "male"collection, but I picked the most masculine papers! I used a Martha Stewart border punch to make a border. The ribbon is from my stash and is stapled to my card. the sentiment is popped up with foam tape, and I used a gauze from my first aid kit behind my main image. Let's just hope I don't need me first aid kit, I ran out of gauzes!!!

Anyway, that was it for today, hop over to the Robyn's Fetish Challenge Blog and join us!

Happy Fall!

Hi all!

Again another challenge over at Digi Haven! This is the start of our new fortnight challenge, themed Fall trees and/or leaves, and this is what I created

Hihi, you are shocked, aren't you? Pink for a fall card? Very non-traditional, but yet, I like it! I used an image by Sliekje, but since I am not working on my own computer, I don't have a link by hand, so I will add it later tot my post, sorry.

This cute squirrel is colored with my Copics again, and I used the following:
Squirrel: E35, E37 and E29
Berries: V83, R85, V28
Acorns: E71, E77
Shading: W00, W0, W1

The papers I used are from the Hey Birdie collection by Kaiserkraft. It is an actual fall collection, and I am sooo in love with the colors!
I used a Martha Stewart punch for the border, and the sentiment is handwritten.

The flowers I used are from my stast, and I am pretty sure the pink ones are by Prima, and I have no idea where the green ones are from, but they match the papers!

That is it for today, go do some fall freebie searching and join us!!

Once upon a time......

******THIS IS MY SECOND POST FOR TODAY, MAKE SURE TO SCROLL DOWN TO SEE THE FIRST!!!!******

Hi all!!

We are already halfway on our storybook challenge at Aud Sentiments so it is time for my inspirational post! This time we are sponsored by Sassy Studio´s Designs, they have gorgeous digis!
I also used one of their digis for this inspirational post!
Since this times challenge is storybook, i made my own storybook, as a bookcard. The papers I used on this project are from the Plumeria collection by Basic Grey. The ribbon is from my stash, and I used a border punch from Martha Stewart. The thickers are fabric by American Crafts.
Let´s take a look on the inside, shall we?
The digi I used is Esmeralda Honey, from the Hunchback of the Notre Dame. Perfect digi for me, because I am a total Disney ADDICT!! Perfect challenge, I had so much fun creating this!!
On the tag I wrote a sentiment, it is a quote from the movie!
I love this phrase, but actually I just love the whole movie LOL :)
Here's a close-up of my colored Esmeralda.

Esmeralda is colored with my Copic Markers, and I used the following
Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11 and R20
Hair: C5, C7 and 100, R83 and R85 for the hairband
Shirt: C00, C0, YR27 and BG72
Skirt: V15, V17 and V22, V28
Jewelry: YR27
Again, I couldn't help myself and I had to make a bouqet of flowers, and I added a charm to it. I also added some purple rhinestones and I actually quite like it!

The front and back look :)

Thaty was it for today, we only have one week left for this challenge, so come and join us at Aud Sentiments!

This project is entering the following challenges:
Basic Grey Challenges - Anything goes
Dream Valley Challenges - Glitter and bling
Paper Crafting Journey - Ribbon or twine
One Crazy Stamper - Anything Goes
