Great news - The Stamping Chef Club is now open!

Hi all!

Today is a special day in the Netherlands! Today our Queen stepped back and our new King is crowned! I have been watching TV all morning and afternoon, and I will check back later! It was a beautiful ceremony, and our new Queen Maxima, wow, she looked AMAZING!

But that is not the only special news I have! Today, we opened a brand new club! My friend Krista and I have been chatting with Tamara from The Stamping Chef a lot recently, to get more publicity in the Netherlands. Tamara is the designer of all those gorgeous images, check out her shop!

You can also join the club if you aren't Dutch, but we only talk Dutch, LOL.
You can find our club here --> CLICK.

We will have a monthly FREEBIE challenge, just like the weekly one on the Facebook page. You can request the freebie image, and by requesting it, you will be joining our challenge. And the winner of the challenge will win more The Stamping Chef images!

This is what I made as an inspiration for May's challenge. The theme is ANYTHING GOES with the requested image, easy right?
The image I used is this months FREEBIE, called BitterSweet. You can also find the image in the shop, just click here. Let me show you a close-up of my colored image.
BitterSweet is colored with my Copic Markers, and I really enjoyed coloring her! I used the following markers.
Skin: E00, E11, E13, and R20 for blush and lips
Hair: E71, E74, E77, E79
Purples: V91, V95, RV91, RV93, RV95
Whites: W00, W0, W2, W5
Leafs: YG91, YG93, YG95
The papers I used are by Authentique, Remembrance collection. I alsways use the 6x6 pads when making cards, and I really LOVE the fact they designed the inside of the frontpage and last page as well! Get more use out of your paper pads!
I matted every layer with kraft cardstock, so there are lots of layers going on on this card!
Of course, the famous me-style flowers! I used flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and Marianne Design and made a little bouquet. For the leafs I used a Martha Stewart punch. I also added some pearls on the corners of my card to give it a finished look.

I hope you all like it and for the Dutch, JOIN OUR CLUB!

I would love to enter the following challenges.

Dilly Beans also generously offered an image to everyone on the DT, this is what I created with it!
For this card I was inspired by a DT-pal on another DT, Kevin McCrafty, he made an awesome rosette-card the other day. Click here to see his awesome card! I was also inspired by the shape of her hair, that perfectly goes along with the edge of my Nestabilities circle!
The image I used is called Paige and can be found here. She is colored with my Copic Markers and I used the following.
Skin: E00, E11, E13, R20
Hair: E23, E25, E27, E29 YR23, YR27, G02, G05, R81, R83, R85
Clothes: R81, R83, R85
I added a little green rhinestone to the flower in her hair.
Like I said, the image is cut out with a Nestabilities circle die. I matted it with a scalloped circle from one of the designer papers fro the kit I used. Then I added one layer of lace, and to finish it, I made a large paper rosette behind it.
To finish my card, I added some paper roses along the bottom of my rosette.
The sentiment I used is from a clear stamp set from Noor!Design, inked up with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
The designer paper I used was included with a magazine, I love the colors. Very springy!

That was it for now, there will be one more post later today, so stay tuned. First hop over to Red Carpet Studio and link up your Thank You card!

Robyn's Fetish Challenge #156 - Make your own flowers

Hi all!

New Sunday, New Challenge! Time for a great new challenge at Robyn's Fetish! This week we have an awesome challenge theme, MAKE YOUR OWN FLOWERS. This couldn't be a better one for me, as I use a ton of flowers each month! Some say I use too much, but I just love them! I usually use pre-made flowers from a shop, but I have several different dies to make my own.

Anyway, we have a fabulous sponsor AGAIN, the lovely Milk Coffee Stamps is sponsoring us this week. They are offering 3 digital stamps of the winners choice, so you better enter! Just click on the banner below to go to the shop!

Milk Coffee Stamps also generously sponsored some beautiful images to the DT-girls, so be sure to visit them all! This is my creation.
I made a little box out of designerpaper. I used a template from a Dutch Magazine called Kadoosjes. The papers I used are by K&Company and I have had them for years now. I rarely use them, but I really love them!
Here is a sideview picture. Before I go tell y'all about my handmade flowers, let me show you the colored image first.
Like I said earlier, Milk Coffee Stamps provided us DT-girls some images and I used Tiffany playing violin. She can be found here. Tiffany is colored with my beloved Copics, and I used the following markers.
Skin: E50, E51, E53 and R20 for blush.
Hair: E53, E55, E57, E59
Dress: C00, C0, C2, C5
Flowers: V05, V06, V09 and YG06 for the leafs.
Violin: E53, E55

Now, onto the flowers!
For the large purple rose in the middle I used a Creatables die by Marianne Design. It is just a flat flower, but I used a tutorial on YouTube to make it into a rose. You can find the tutorial here. That weird language she is speaking in is mine, Dutch, but what she does is obvious!

The little purple roses and the bigger green roses are also made with a Creatables die, rolled rose, but you can just roll the diecut into a little rose. You start on the outside edge, and roll your way in, and voila, your own rose!
The leafs are also cut with a Creatables die. To make them stand out a bit more I used some Distress Ink Walnut Stain on the edges.
To finish my little flower bouquet I used some pearl string and adhered in between the flowers.
The ribbon I used on the lid of the box is from my stash.

That was it for today, I hope you liked it.
NEED SOME MORE INSPIRATION? OUR VERY OWN EDWINA MADE A TUTORIAL ON THE ROBYN'S FETISH BLOG, YOU CAN FIND IT HERE!!!

Now hop over to Robyn's Fetish and join us!!

I would love to enter the following challenges.
Challenges 4 Everybody - Anything goes
Platypus Creek Digitals - Flowers and Pearls
Allsorts Challenge - A Passion for Flowers
One Stop Craft Challenge - Anything but square

You stole my heart - Drunken Stampers Challenge

Hi all!

Are you ready for a Bahama Mama? No? Well, you better be!! Cause it is team Bahama Mama's turn at Drunken Stampers to host a new challenge! This week we are inspired by the movie Twilight, so we want to see some projects based on the movie, or creatures of the night!
DS124

This is my project.
I was a bit worried about this card, because my card is based on a creature of the night, but I wasn 't completely sure a thief is a creature of the night. Especially not with the laugh on his face! But then I got full approval by the other Bahama Mama's AND Mignight Margaritha's, so I decided to give it a go, and this is the result!
Here is a close-up of my colored image. The image I used is by Mo Manning. It used to be a freebie for Valentine, but is now available for purchase here. I used my Copics to color him, and I used the following.
Skin: E50, E51, E53
Clothes: E53, E55, E57, E59
Heart: R83, R85, R89
When looking at the colored image right now, I probably should have used a black marker to darken up the facial mask and the stripes on his shirt, but whatever! :)
The sentiment I used is handwritten and I also stamped two hearts on it.
The base of my card is made with CoreDinations cardstock. The DP I used is by Basic Grey, Little BLack Dress collection. The lace is from my stash, and so are the pearls.

I made two little flower bouquets, and the pink/purple flowers happened to match the color of my cardbase EXACTLY! I didn't do that on purpose, I finished the whole card and I searched for some flowers to go on it and I found these. All flowers are from Marianne Design. I also used my Martha Stewart leaf punch.

That was it for today, let's hop to Drunken Stampers and join us! But remember, hop in a straight line or you get caught for hopping under influence!!!

Hugs, Sandra

Old, New, Borrowed and Blue Blog Hop at Red Carpet Studio and The Paper Nest Dolls

Welcome to Day 1 of the Old, New, Borrowed, and Blue Blog Hop!

Wedding bells will soon be ringing as the wedding season is almost here, and the design teams of Red Carpet Studio and The Paper Nest Dolls have teamed up to provide you with some beautiful wedding inspiration by creating projects using Paper Nest Dolls digital stamps! If you've just come across the hop and would like to start at the beginning, please visit Red Carpet Studio.

Red Carpet Studio is a movie-themed challenge blog that runs weekly challenges, alternating between layout and card challenges each week. All of their challenges are inspired by either a movie or aspect of Hollywood!
The Paper Nest Dolls is a brand new digital/rubber stamp shop that sells adorable stamps inspired by the designer's children. Their stamps are sold here and they just started a challenge blog as well!

For my project today, I made a 5inch square card, let me show you!
Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue. In the US this seems pretty standard. I got married last year, and where I live (Holland) we know the saying, but no-one does it. But me and hubby kept this tradition alive, as my dress was new, the car we used was really old (and of course got broken while driving.... :-o ), the pen we used to sign was old and borrowed, and I have some blue flowers in my bouquet.
Anyway, for this card I used all the traditions, as I used a very old piece of patterned paper, from the time I used to scrapbook, about 4 years ago.
The lace I used, as well as the rose-ribbon is new,
The stamp I used for the sentiment is borrowed from a friend,
and the blue, well, I guess that is obvious :)

Let me show you a close-up picture of my image.
I used my Copic Markers to color the image and I used the following.
Skin: E50, E51, E53
Hair: E40, E41, E43, E47, E49
Clothes: C00, C0, C2, C5, B000, B00, B02
Grass: G21, G43, G46, G99 and a green fineliner.
The cloudy background was made with a cloud template from and MFT die and Distress Ink Tumbled Glass.

The Paper Nest Dolls owner and artist, Christine, is very generously providing us with some blog candy from her online stamp shop and her brick and mortar scrapbooking store! To be eligible to win you must comment on every stop of both days of the hop.
