Drunken Stampers #116 - Superheroes

Hi all!

How are you today? It is Saturday again, and this week it is time for the Bahama Mamas at Drunken Stampers to host a challenge! This week we are inspired by the movie The Avengers, so we would like to see some superheroes on your project!
DS116

Here is what I came up with.
Super Cute, isn't it! I rarely make boy-cards, but with this lovely Magnolia stamp I just had to!! Here is a close-up of my colored image.
My image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo black ink on digital coloring paper, and colored with my Copic Markers. I used the following markers to color Edwin.
Skin: E000, E00, E11, R20
Hair and boots: E71, E77, E79
Supermanoutfit: R27, R29, Y06, Y08 B18, B19
After coloring I cut him out with my detail scissors.
I cut a diamondshaped frame with my Nestabilities die and dry embossed some kraft cardstock. DP I used are by Basic Grey, PB&J collection.
I also used some gingham ribbon from my stash, and some big red rhinestones.
The stars are by Making Memories, they are for their tagmaker tool, which I used for the sentiment. I stapled the metal stars to my card, because I couldn't leave it blank. I just didn't like the blank area.
The sentiment I used is by Noor!Design, it says Hurray, another year older!

That was it for today, I hope you like it!

Please hop over to Drunken Stampers and join us with your Superhero!

This is my creation for this challenge.
This is my cardfront, and here is the inside with my sentiment.

I think you're cool! - Digi Haven DT

Hi all!!

How are you today? Is there any snow where you live? Well, here in Holland there rarely is snow, but is has been snowing a lot over the past 3 weeks. And I can tell you, I HATE it!! I need spring!! Flowers, bugs, bees etcetera!!!!
Well, at least snow on cards isn't cold, so the theme for this forthnights challenge at Digi Haven is
SNOW OR SNOWFLAKES!
For this challenge we have two (!) sponsors, our very own Mynette will sponsor 3 digital sentiment stamps, and Di's Digi Design will sponsor 3 images of the winners choice!

Mynette's site

Di's Digi Store

This is what I created for this challenge.
I made a little easelcard, 10cm square if closed. The base is made from creamcolored cardstock. The blue snowflakepaper is made from regular cardstock, embossed with a Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder.
The image I used is by Birdie Brown, and can be found here. Like the image? What's even nicer it is for FREE!! This adorable snowman is colored with my Copic Markers, and I used the following:
R27, R29 and C5, C7, 100 and BG93, BG96 and BG0000, 0 and YR61, YR68.
All of the snowflakes falling down are filled in with Stickles Frosted Lace, and so is the snowbottom.
The sentiment in the upper right corner is made with my Slice, with the Mistletoe cartridge.
The sentiment is made by our very own Mynette, and this is one of the three sentiments you can win by entering this challenge! The rhinestones, ribbon and twine are from my stash and so is the snowflakecharm.
That was it for today, I hope you like it!

Robyn's Fetish #146 - Paperpiecing

Hi all!

Time for a new challenge at Robyn's Fetish this week, and the theme is PAPERPIECING!
We are sponsored by My Heart Pieces for this challenge. They are offering 3 images of the winners choice, isn't that great?
MY HEART PIECES
Just click on the logo to go to their shop, it is really worth your time!

I am not going to blab a long story, but I must tell you how my mind started spinning with this image! The image I used is called Noyontara after bath, and she is wrapped in a towel, coming right out her bath. I paperpieced the towel and she was ready to be put on a card. And there it was, lightbulbs flipping around my head! What if I have a bathtub to use with her? Or a tile floor? Or perhaps a mirror? Well, let me show you the result! I made an explosionbox!
I am not going to tell what I did between the pics, just take a look! There will be a list with supplies at the end.

So far, nothing special, but wait till you see the inside!

Supplies:
1. Chipboard;
2. Creamcolored cardstock
3. Silver colored cardstock
