Simply Create Too - Anything but a card

Hi all!

Time for a new challenge at Simply Create Too! This time we want to see ANYTHING BUT A CARD. I really like to make cards, but every now and then it's great to make something else.

This time I decided to make a basket, and I found the idea for this box here.
There will be a lot of photos first and I will give you all the details at the end.

I used a Nestabilities Lacey Squares to create the ribbon weaving panels. The ribbon I used was a gift from a friend, and I think it's a good thing I have a 60yard roll, because I think I used about 5 yards for this project.
The flaps of the basket are created with a Noor!Design die folded in half, and I added some rhinestones on the folds. The flowers are all by Wild Orchid Crafts.
For the handle I used a Fiskars Threading Water border punch, and added the same ribbon and rhinestones to it.
For the top piece I made a bow for the same aubergine ribbon and used some yellow organza ribbon as well. Here I also used some Wild Orchid Crafts flowers to it.

This was it for today, I hope you all like it. Please pop over to Simply Create Too and join us!

Simply Create Too - No digi or Stamped image

Hi all!

It's time for a new challenge at Simply Create Too! This was a really hard one for me, as it is not allowed to use a digital or stamped image! I always have a colored image on my card, so I really had to think about handling this one.
Anyway, this is what I created.

My sister in law and her boyfriend recently started living together so I made this as a gift for them. I used an MDF heart from Let's Get Bizzee, and I used some Prima Marketing Papers on it. I used some Distress Ink Vintage Photo on the edge
I used some corrugated chipboard, and I used my Tim Holtz clock die. I also diecut a kraft scalloped circle and a white circle. This is the place where they can add a pic from them together.
I used a doily and a heart shaped button from my stash. I also added some just to have different textures.
And this wouldn't be finished without a large flower bouquet, so I used various different Wild Orchid Crafts flowers for this piece.

That was it for today, I hope you all like it. Please pop over to Simply Create Too and join us!

I'd love to enter the following challenges:
Crafty Girls Challenge - Anything goes
Scrapping 4 Fun challenge - Anything goes
Craftitude - Anything goes with corrugated paper
ABC-Challenge - J is for Just as you like

Simply Create Too - Animals

Hi all!

Welcome again! It's time for a new challenge over at Simply Create Too! This fortnights theme is ANIMALS.

This is what I created
Yes, that's correct! Another Christmas card! I really learned from last year, and I started early this year. (Or I never stopped making Christmas cards, depending on how you look at it...)
Anyway, let me show you a close-up of my colored image.
The image I used is called Penguin with Gifts, from Delicious Doodles. You can buy the image here. I used my Copics to color this sweetie and I used the following markers.
Penguin: C00, C0, C2, C5 for the "white" parts and C3, C5 and C7 for the "black"parts.
Feet: YR23, YR27
Gifts: G43, G46, R24, R27, C00,C0, YR23, YR27
I used the largest of my Nestabilities circle dies to cut out the image.
The papers I used are by Echo Park, Reflections Christmas collection. They are matted with Stampin' Ups Real Red card stock. The sentiment I used is from AmyR Holiday Greetings Sentiment set.

That was it for today, I hope you all like it. Now pop over to Simply Create Too and join us!

Simply Create Too - St. Patricksday or use green.

Hi all!

Welcome to a new fortnightly challenge at Simply Create Too! The theme for this challenge is St. Patricksday or use the color GREEN. Since we don't celebrate St. Patricksday in Holland I decided to use the color green.
This is what I created.
I made 5.5 inch square card. The papers I used are by Authentique. I used Distress Ink Vintage Photo on the edges of the papers.
The image I used is called Breeze, and is a rubber stamp by LDRS. It is also available as a digi by Saturated Canary. Breeze is colored with my Copic Markers and I used the following markers.
Skin: E00, E21, E13
Hair: E11, E08, E09, E18
Dress: YG91, YG93, YG95 and RV91, RV93, RV95
I used a Nestabilities circle die to cut my image, and I matted it with a scalloped circle.
The sentiment I used is by Whimsy Stamps and I stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. When I look at it now, I should have used Versafine ink, because that black color is more intense.
Well, this is something most of my cards have, and I couldn't help myself making another flower bouquet on this card. All flowers used are by Wild Orchid Crafts, except for the berries. I have no idea where they are from.
To finish my card I added some pearls.

That was it for today, I hope you like it! Now hop over to Simply Create Too and join us!

Simply Create Too - Valentine's day or hearts

Hi all!

Today I have some really exciting news to share with you all!
I am on the Simply Create Too DT **doing a happy dance**!!!!
I also have the first project I made for them to share with you, because the new challenge starts today! This fortnights theme is Valentine's Day or Hearts, and I decided to do both.
The papers I used are by My Minds Eye. I just love the pink colors together! The edges of the papers are inked with Distress Ink Vintage Photo. The pink ribbon was leftover  and was in my stash for months. The charm is attached to the bow with some twine and I also added some pearls.
The sentiment is by AmyR.
Let me show you a close-up of my colored image.
The image I used is a rubberstamp by LRDS, drawn by Saturated Canary and is called Neveah. I decided to get out of my comfort zone and color her hair hot pink, and I really like the result. Now on the look for some more combo's to try various colors of hair!
I used my Copic Markers to color the image, and I used the following.
Skin: E00, E21, E13 and R2 for blush and lips
Hair: RV69, RV29, RV34, RV21
Dress: W00,W0, W2, W5
Shoes: W5, W7, RV21, RV34

That was it for today, I hope you all like it. Now hop over to Simply Create Too and join us for this challenge!
