Slinky Tart - Smoking Hot!

I am here to share a new Slinky Tart project with you all! This weeks post is the last one before summer break, since we all deserve one.

When I picked my image, I wasn't quite sure what make with her, but I picked her, because I just love her! And while I was coloring I found a stamp set with the sentiment that was perfect for her, and after coloring it hit me. Why not use it in combination with candles? Why not make a candle box? Duh! So here it is!

 I designed the box myself, nothing fancy. It looks like a little pizza box. I measured the width of 3 candles, and the height of the candles, and make a little box with those measurements. The box is 12,5cm square, and 1,5 cm in  height.

 The patterned paper I used is from Authentique, Careful collection. I inked the edges with Distress Ink Walnut Stain 

 The image I used is called Smoking Hot! and she is colored with my Copic Markers. I used the following markers.

Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E13

Hair: E02, E08, E09, E18

Eyes: YG93, YG95

Red: R35, R46, R59

White: C00, C0, C2, C5

The sentiment is from a set from Noor Design, and is in Dutch. It says Fire caution! 50 candles this year! Rather fitting fot this image, huh?

CreaMiep Design Team dag

Hoi allemaal!

Zoals jullie weten, hebben we 11 juli jl onze eerste CreaMiep DT dag gehouden. We hebben toen met de aanwezige leden een groepsfoto gemaakt en die allemaal gescrapt. Ik wilde jullie graag mijn uitwerking laten zien, met wat meer uitleg.

 Als basis heb ik een vel wit cardstock gebruikt. 

Daarboven op heb ik een vel designpapier gelegd. 

Ik heb een grote cirkel uit een ander vel design papier gemaakt. Je kan dit uit de hand knippen, er een mal voor gebruiken, of een bord omtrekken. De cirkel heb ik een beetje uit het midden, rechtsonder gelegd. 

Tot slot heb ik nog een strook designpapier rechts gelegd, en onder nog een strook designpapier eroverheen. Onder de onderste strook desgin papier heb ik nog een stuk kant geplakt.

Al het design papier dat ik heb gebruikt is van Maja Design, Coffee in the Arbour collectie.

 Uit kraft papier heb ik een paar labels gesneden, en deze heb ik achter mijn foto gestoken. Ik heb ze versierd met verschillende lintjes, die ik met een stukje touw heb vastgestrikt.

Om mijn lay-out af te werken, heb ik verschillende papieren bloemen gebruikt, namelijk Cherry Blossom, Sweetheart flowers, en roosjes 10 millimeter.

Ik heb ook alle randjes van mijn papier en designpapier geïnkt met Distress Ink Walnut Stain, om alles een mooi afgewerkt effect te geven.

Ik hoop dat jullie het leuk vonden om te zien hoe ik deze lay-out heb gemaakt.

Art by Mi Ran - Christmas

Hi all!

Today is my turn to host the Art by Mi Ran blog, and I decided to go crazy! I made a Christmas card (not a big deal), but with an image that is not specific for Christmas!

I colored Shea her dress red, and the wreath in green. At that moment hubby walked in to my craft room and says, "hey, those colors are for Christmas, but it is not a Christmas image". That challenged me to make a Christmas card with her, and here it is!

 The papers I used are from Echo Park. All the edges are inked with Distress Ink Walnut Stain. I made a circle in the center of the card to let Shea 'hang', because I liked the look of it.

 I used my Cpoic Markers to color Shea, and I used the following markers.

Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E13

Hair: E51, E53, E55

Eyes: E55, E57, E59

Dress and flowers: R35, R46, R59, Y32, Y35

Wreath: G40, G43, G46

 I used some red twine from my stash to make the wreath hang on my card.

 The flowers I used are from Wild Orchid Crafts

The star I used is stamped with a Craft Emotions stamp, with Prima Marketing Chalk ink.
