Love to Create - More than one fold

Lee H Illustrations

Lee H illustrations also generously provided some images to the DT to work with, and this is what I created.

I had to follow the theme More than One fold, so I decided to make a paper rosette which has lots and lots of folds. Then I decided to use it to hold up my easel card, which also has more than one fold, so I completely nailed this weeks theme! :P
The papers I used are by Carte Bella.
The image I used is called Building a Snowman, and can be found here. I used my Copic Markers again to color, and I used the following.
Skin: E00, E11, E13
Hair: E23, E25, E27
Snowman: BG000, BG0000
Hat: C5, C7
Clothes: G40, G43, G46, R32, R35, R37, BG72, BG75, BG78
I used Frosted Lace Stickles on the snow, and also on the fur at the kids' clothes.
I used my labelwriter to create the sentiment.
And last but not least, a close up of the folded rosette. I took a strip of paper from 1 inch by 12 inch, and scored every 1/4 inch. I folded the strip mountain/valley style, and used a hot glue gun in the center. There you go, your own paper rosette! To finish off my card, I used my Martha Stewart Snowflake punch.

This was it for today, I hope you all like it. Please pop over to Love to Create and join us!

Digi Galore - Add a button

Hi all!

It is that time again, we are having a new challenge at Digi Galore! Our theme for this challenge is Add a button (or 2, or 3 or....) and our sponsor for this challenge is Lee's Illustrations. Just click on the banner below to visit the shop.

Lee's Illustrations also generously offered some images to the DT to work with, and this is what I created.

For my lay-out I used one of the sketches from Tiets, I just love her sketches. The papers I used are from My Minds Eye, and all edges are inked with Distress Ink Vintage Photo.
The image I used is called Girl with Flower, and can be found here. I used  my Copic Markers again to color the image, and I used the following.
Skin: E00, E11, E13, and E95 for blush.
Hair: E33, E35, E37, E29
Dress: Y21, Y28, RV21, RV23, RV25
Grass: YG93, YG95, YG97
Sky: BG0000, BG000, BG10
The flowers I used are all by Wild Orchid Crafts. The buttons were from my stash, and so is the pastel pink ribbon.
To finish everything off I puched some butterflies, and added some pearls to the centers.

This was it for today, I hope you all like it. Please pop over to Digi Galore, and join us!

Love to Create - Make it for the kids

Hi all!

I am a little confused, because we have a long weekend here in the Netherlands. It is Monday, but it feels like Sunday.
Anyway, monday means a new challenge at Love to Create, and we want to see some projects for the kids!
Our sponsors for this week are Yours or Mine Paper Crafts, who is offering a $10 gift certificate and Lee's Illustrations, who is offering 2 images of the winner's choice. Isn't that great? Just click on the banners below to have a look at their shops.

Lee's Illujstrations also generously provided some images to the DT to work with, and this is what I created.

I decided to make a wiper card, because kids always love hidden things. When the card is closed, you cant see a thing, but when you open it the sentiment pops out.
The paper I used for this card is from My Minds Eye, and I just love the bright colors on this paper pad. The chickenwire behind the main image is made with a die from My Favorite Things, and this is the small one. I used some kraft cardstock to cut it.
The image I used is called Elephant with flower and can be found here. It is a great image to practise some coloring on. I used my Copic Markers to color the image, and I used the following.
Elephant: C00, C0, C2, C5
Ears: E93, E95
Nails: W2, W5
Flower: R83, R85, R89, Y35, Y38
Leaf: G43, G46

This was it fot today, I hope you like it. Please pop over to Love to Create and join us!
