Hi all!
Welcome to a new Card Challenge at Red Carpet Studio! This week we are inspired by old Hollywood Movies, so we want to see some vintage cards!
We are sponsored by The Robins Nest, and they are offering a $10,- gift certificate for their shop! How lovely is that! Just click on the banner below to go to their shop.
Before I show you my card, I want to warn you! This is not what you would have expected from me!
You were shocked, right? I warned you! No colored image! No coloring! Not my style!
I will be honest, I had a real hard time on this one! I was looking on different digishops for some vintage images, and everytime I saw one, I was like.. NO, Don't like it... This is just not my style, eventhough I love what the other girls made! But that is a whole different thing from doing it yourself! I started this card, and I stared at my craftsupplies for about half an hour.. Still no idea! Even Pinterest didn't help.. I almost gave up on this one and was about to start another project and I saw my embossingfolders. I found a script folder and started to apply Distress Ink Vintage Photo on the folder.
I grabbed a piece of cardstock and ran it through my CuttleBug. It really looked vintage!
And then I diecut some flourishes and grassleaves from NoorDesign out of kraft cardstock.
I also used a butterfly die by JoyCrafts, and my card was born.
While doing all this I was thinking of making it a condolence card, but I had no sentiments. So I used one of my new NoorDesign sentiments and stamped it with Brilliance Graphite Black ink. I used some clear embossing powder and my heatgun on it and my sentiment was finished.
I used an oval die and matching frame by NoorDesign and some white ribbon from my stash.
Over all I am not really happy with this card, but I think this was the best I could do.. If anyone has any tips on improving my Vintage Style, just send me an email!!!
Well, you can do better than me, I now for sure, so pop over to Red Carpet Studio, and show us what you got!!!
Hugs,
Sandra
