Art by Mi Ran - Miss Daisy

Hi all!!

Today is my turn to host the Art by Mi Ran blog again. Our theme for this month, is Clean and Simple. Eventhough that is not really my style, I like to make CAS cards every now and then. Here is the result!

 I created my background using a Cuttlebug embossing folder. I colored some white ribbon with my B28 Copic Marker, and added some rhinestones, and that is it. Can you tell creating this card took me longer than any of my other cards? And that is not because of the coloring I tell you!! I just seem to overthink CAS cards I guess!

Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E21, E13
Blush and lips: R20, R22
Hair: Y11, Y21, YR23, YR27
Pearls: W00, W1
Flowers, Clothes and eyes: B23, B24, B28
Flower centers and large pearls: BV00, BV02

Crafting When We Can GDT - Favorite Quote or Saying

Hi all!!

Art by Mi Ran is sponsoring the Crafting When We Can challenge this fortnight, and I was asked to be the guest designer on behalf of Art by Mi Ran. An offer I can't refuse!! 

The challenge theme is Use your favorite quote or saying, and this is what I made.

I really love to sing, and eventhough I really can't, I absolutely enjoy it! Especially when I am alone in my car, driving. Then I raise the volume of my radio to the max, and sing out loud! So, you got it, this image is perfect for me. The lyrics of a song are really important to me, and sometimes, if you don't know what to say, just just have to play a song, and everything makes sense again. So, when words fail, music speaks!

The papers I used are by Basic Grey, Soleil collection. The kraft background I made myself, using a Dutch Doobadoo template and Dutch Doobadoo structure paste.

The image I used is called Pop Star Suzy, and I used my Copic Markers to color her. I used the following markers.

Skin: E000, E00, E21, E13 and R20 for blush and mouth

Hair and belt: RV21, RV23, RV25, RV29

Boots and shirt: Y32, Y35, Y38

Hat and Skirt: BV02, BV13, BV17

The sentiment I used is computer generated. The music notes are made with a die from Noor! Design and are perfect for this card!

To finish off my card I used some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

CreaMiep Challenge - Valentijn

Hoi allemaal!

Vandaag begint de nieuwe challenge bij CreaMiep, voor de maand februari. Deze keer is ons thema Valentijn, perfect voor deze maand!
Ik heb de volgende bijdrage geleverd.

 Om de vorm van mijn kaart te maken, heb ik gebruik gemaakt van een shape-art mal van Dutch Doobadoo. Het designpapier wat ik heb gebruikt is van Simple Stories. Alle randjes heb ik beïnkt met Distress Ink.

 De stempel die ik heb gebruikt heet For You, van Art by Mi Ran, van Whimsy Stamps. Ik heb deze stempel met Memento Ink gestempeld op DCP papier. Ik heb mijn Copic Markers natuurlijk weer gebruikt, en wel de volgende
Huid: E000, E00, E21, E13 en R20 voor de wangen.
Haar: E53, E55, E57
Jurk: W00, W0, W2, W5, RV21, RV23, RV25, RV29

 Ik heb een tekst stempel van Noor Design gebruikt, en Cherry Blossom bloemen en Sweetheart flowers.

Ook heb ik de hartjesballon stans van Marianne Design gebruikt, hij past er perfect bij.
