Well, that ain't gonna happen this year, as with this card, I am halfway of the total amount of christmas cards I want to make! Hooray for me!
Anyway, the image I used is by Magnolia, and perfect for your christmas cards! I used my Copic Markers again, and now I look at the reds, I should have refilled my R22 marker. Too late, better order some refills now!

Hair: E51, E53, E55
Tree: G40, G43, G46

Baby: E000, E00, E11, E13 and R20 for blush.
Stroller: RV10, RV13, RV14
Wheels: E57, E59

To finish my tag I used some ribbon, lace and twine from my stash.

Tutorial - Herringbone technique

Hi all!

It's Sandra here, with a new tutorial for you. Today I am going to show you how to make your own background paper using the Herringbone Technique.

Supplies:
5 different but matching designer papers (I used PB&J by Basic Grey)
Papertrimmer
Piece of printer paper in the size of your card front.
Strong doublesided adhesive
Scissors
Image by Robyn's Fetish Katie Jumping Rope
Coloring medium of your choice (I used Copic Markers)

Take your printer paper that is the size of your card front and fully cover it with double sided adhesive. It's very important to cover it completely with adhesive, especially on the edges of the paper

Trim off the parts of tape that are hanging off the edges.

Take your patterned paper and cut it up in small strips. My strips are 1cm wide, which is approximately 3/8 of an inch. You will need about 5 strips of each pattern.

As you can see I cut way too much strips, but I was planning on making another card with the same papers.

Take off the backings of your adhesive.

Adhere the first strip of paper on a random angle on your card.

Put your second strip on the paper, forming a T. Make sure that you have a straight angle.

Place another strip and start filling the section. Make sure you alternate the sides where you start.

Trim off the excess and save the strips. They can be used in the next section.

This is how it looks at this moment.

Take a new strip of patterned paper and make a new T.

Start filling in the upper section of the T.

When finished with the upper section, you can fill in the other sections.

By cutting the end straight, you can use the pieces that are cut off from an earlier part again.

Here you can see there is only a small area left. It's too big to leave it blank, so you need to fill this.

Take a strip of patterened paper and adhere it to the tiny area. This is the reason why it's so important to have adhesive on the whole card front.

This is your finished card front.

Color your image like you want. The colors I used are also in my patterned papers, so they match my card.
Copic Markers used:
Skin: E000, E00, E11, E13 and R20 for blush
Hair: E51, E53, E55
Dress: YG93, YG95 and YG97
Socks: W00, W0, W2, W5
Shoes: R24, R27

This is my finished card.

This was my tutorial.  I hope you will try it.  It is a really fun technique and also a great way to use up your scraps of patterned paper.
